Summer is here!

Humans are a predictable but strange type of animal. At the first sign of summer we tend to head like lemmings to the beach or to the parks to lie around in shorts and bikinis. We dust off the barbecues and start to carcinogate the most innocent of sausages. Another curious phenomenon attached to the coming of our favourite season is our transport of choice. We get the bikes out of the garage, usually covered in cobwebs, and promise ourselves to cycle more. This usually lasts a maximum of a week before we are back in the car again.

We also start to lust after convertible cars and many of us head down to the local used Mercedes show room to look at the gorgeous convertible with their hoods down, wishing that we could trade in our aged hatchback for an irresistible coupe.

We start to spring clean our houses after the dark days of Winter to start afresh for the season, and we often declutter our houses at this time too. After all, we have to make room for the new Summer wardrobe!

Like ants, we start to live and breathe again as soon as the rays of the sun start to bring us out of our lethargy. At least for a few months, till the dark days send us back into hibernation.
